WEDDINGS AND A PANDEMIC
HELLO!!!
Brandon here, and I’m super excited because this marks our FIRST EVER blog post for Like Crazy Wedding Films!!
I wanted to start by saying, I hope everyone is doing well and staying motivated and productive during these trying times! COVID-19 has been a huge issue for several months now and it has affected so many lives! For us being a small business as well as being in the Wedding Industry, it has definitely hit us hard. But, honestly, I’m more concerned for our couples! Planning a wedding is hard enough, so adding the fact that COVID-19 has caused a lot of businesses to close their doors temporarily, I’m sure is causing a HUGE headache. So, to all of our couples, we are here if you need any help with planning or adjusting your wedding day, and we are very sorry this is happening!
For me personally, this has been both good and bad. On one hand, I’ve been able to focus a lot of my time on perfecting our website, getting it all nice and presentable, spending A TON of time outside with Whitney enjoying nature and making sure we don’t get too stir crazy all cooped up inside, getting more gear, and planning some cool aspects to the wedding day for our clients! Woah… that was a lot! On the other hand…. It has been extremely difficult not being able to go out and film weddings. Because, uhhh… WEDDINGS ARE A BLAST!!
Being a videographer is all I have known for the past few years, as that is what I have spent the majority of my days doing for so long now, so when everything shut down, it really put a damper on my creative mind for a while. I noticed that at least 3 weeks had went by and I hadn’t even touched my camera… that bummed me out so I decided to change that!
Now that the world is opening back up (or at least in Oklahoma where I’m out of), Whitney and I are able to do more shoots with people and let our creative sides free once again! YESSSS….. I’m a bit excited if you can’t tell!
I think overall, we were able to make the best out of all of this and make changes to Like Crazy for the better. I’m constantly trying to make this business a unique and amazing experience for clients and future clients, so having a breather and being able to take a step back and really focus on changes that will help us stand out was a blessing!
Alright… I’ve talked enough! I just want to close this by saying how much I appreciate everyone! We have a great support group surrounding Like Crazy Wedding Films and I couldn’t be happier.
